Hmmm?.. I just did a chunk of plexiglass about 2 weeks ago and mine melted the cut slightly. Even tried 2 different bits(tile and gen purpose) and turned the speed all the way down too(mine only goes down to 15k rpm).

Wasn't severe and it didn't matter for a homemade gerbil cage with custom tubes added.. but I did have to dress the edge with a cratridge roll afterwards due to the slight molten edge created from the heat.

Maybe next time I'll send it out to have you do it(the kids already want a new addition) since you must have more patience than you lead us to believe. lol

You're right, it probably isn't plexiglass. Notice he's avoiding my question of why he's cutting the hole though! LOL, must be top secret!

Looks like a perfect circle. How did u get it perfectly round? :yup:
Anticpating the point when u decide to share a more expansive views of the project. I have a Roto Zip I have not used but a few times in the decade I have owned it. What cutting tool "bit" did u use?

At first I figured that he was retrofitting some aftermarket gauges, but because he is being so secretive about it,
I'm pretty sure he is installing magnifying glass lens so that he doesn't have to squint anymore.... :biglaugh: :outtahere:
