Does anyone know of a book that contains disc minimum and drum maximum specs for different makes and models? I know that the specs are stamped onto the discs/drums, but I was hoping that there is a master book or something like that. How do you guys who are state inspectors look-up the specs? Thanks for any help!
Yeah, you're right. But then I would need a Chiltons for each car I turned rotors/drums for. I just thought there might be a brake measurements only version of a Chiltons across domestics or whatever...
Wagner makes a book that has all of the specs in it. Of course they make one every year so I do not think that "all" for the older vehicles are in it. You can get the book from O'reilly Auto Parts. I use one all the time at work. How old of vehicles are you looking for?
Awesome! I just tried searching but I cannot seem to find one by Wagner. Do you think you could get me some more info on the book? We are most interested in 90s up to present. Just something as a quick reference for the popular makes. Thanks for your help!
That is no problem to get one through a parts store. All the spec books I get for Brakes and Alignment specs they just order and give to me for buying parts from them. They are easy to get. If you can not find one let me know and I can send you one of my old ones.
