yeah i will have to otherwise i won't be able to afford driving it every day with the fuel prices here, it's about $9.50 per gallon
I didn't know you had an LPG system. The choke is not needed with it. Your car will also run great on LPG! I wish Propane was cheap here. I'd be running my vehicles on it!
oh wow that's cheap! Here LPG and CNG is around $3.80 per GGE but i guess CNG would get you more milage. Do many people in the US drive on LPG or CNG?
They've really just started with CNG here in the past two years, the state of Louisiana is really pushing it, and there are more and more filling stations being built here. The only drawback is the cost of the conversion kit, it runs about $6000 (US) but you can get some of that back come tax time. And recoup the rest in a couple years with the fuel being half the cost of gasoline. We've got one of the largest gas fields here in northwest Louisiana and they've punched it full of holes in the past 5-6 years, bringing the market price of natural gas down to the $2-3 range (per thousand btu's) from a high of ten years ago of $10. Ten years ago they built several CNG import terminals on the Gulf coast, these terminals have sat unused since. They've talking of building export terminals now to sell gas to your side of the pond. If and when I buy a new pickup, I'm thinking hard on getting it outfitted with a CNG kit. That $1.79 price I mentioned was in Alexandria La, an hour north of here, I hear it's even cheaper in N.Louisiana in the middle of the Haynesville gas field.
