Thank you for the picture , anybody else got pictures of their interior ? And I know the better thing to do would be to buy one in better condition, but this is not going to happen .

We won't give up on it, and we only need help on how to do things, not to back out while we got time .

    We need help .

Any stories on problems people experienced or dilemmas we might encounter would be great help .

    :Welcome: :Handshake

how much is the budget for this build?
...where is the car stored now?

if help is all you need, then you already have...money, time, tools and a place to work on it... that is half the battle there...(y)
what are the plans for the car...new/rebuild motor, transmission, paint, tires wheels, brakes, radiator, rear gear change, ETS, ETS...
each one is a project in itself...
pics. when you can would be helpful...

It's running and driving, we actually drove it down to our house which was an hour drive . We start it every day and make sure it's running fine .

We do have the money, tools, place to work, and time .

We're A-Grade students in school, and really aren't doing much else besides that, so we got everything . Like I said, two out of four got a working job, so they get the money, while the other two are working on the car . We got everything organized . I'll try to add pictures up tonight.

If you need a radiator you can have mine. I took it out of the race car to get a bigger aluminum Champion radiator. It has an electric fan and shroud that I built and had it cored last year. It's yours for free, you just need to pick it up.

    I thought you sold that?

That's very generous. It looks like a good set-up. I almost bought it a few months ago, but didn't really want to pay shipping since I am only a couple hours away. I still haven't replaced mine and now wish I would have made the drive to get it.:banghead:

Not that this is really an issue, but if we could pay for shipping, would you be willing to ship it ? Just out of curiousity ? Kaleb fell asleep and I'm up doing research and an English essay,so I have to consult him first . But I just want to know out of curiousity.

I would tell my son NOT to do this WITH A FRIEND.
if you were my son and you had a job and were an A student I would be a very happy father BUT looking out for your best interest and trying to save a big fat argument and a lot of money lost I would tell you NO WAY!

you sound like a very put together kid and will make a fine (insert what ever you decide to do in life here) but I would say help your friend with skills and not money UNLESS you plan to sell the car hopefully for a profit when its finished AND have a written contract to do so. THEN I would leave it up to you as a business venture for you to learn from gain or loss.

the reason I say this is because you and he both invest tons of time and money then someone wants to sell it and the other doesnt or one wants to take it to take there girl on a date and when its all done you guys both lose as friends and only the person with the title in their name gets the car.

I would say build TWO cars one for him and one for you. that way you can both work on each others cars with your set of skills and everyone buys their own parts.

Im doing this with my son now EXCEPT he does most of the work on my car while I buy parts for both cars

good luck however you decide and get us some pics when you can.
craigslist is one of the best resources for parts or even junk yards. there are MANY parts that will interchange with mustangs.
I buy 90% of my parts through autozone.
