    (y) It gets missed a lot. Dangerous when they get old. 5 years on the shelf new and they are junk. Some are even calling 3 years now.

    Man, I sure didn't want to hear that! That's 8 tires for me! Both vehicles got tires in 2007. Last I heard it was 10 years, but things change! I wonder if garage kept means anything to a tire? :cry:

    Thats just for our new tires on the shelf. Not a good idea to sell a tire as new if its already got 3-5 years off its lifespan.

    I just had to replace an EVAP vent valve and part of the wiring harness on an E250 that did that. The belt came out and cut right through the harness and part of the composite valve. They didn't even know, they brought it in for a check engine light.:yup:

    Ah my nemisis....evaporative leaks. Cold mornings are here. I should be getting swamped with .010" leaks this week.:mad:
