Rear Valance Hardware? Is this the right kit? REAR VALANCE FASTENERS WITH NUTS 64-73 MUSTANG $2.95 USDPart Number: 372719-S100 Fits 1964 1/2-73 Mustang. This four piece kit features the correct hardware, plated to prevent rust.
Mustang's don't use the same as a Maverick, though those might work. I got the correct one's for a Maverick from AMK Products. B-2012 Group # (RL) 382155-S32 8-32 x 1 1/4" Bolt & Retainer
Can't find them.. I put the # (RL) 382155-S32 in the field and it says not available. Could use a set my self.
It took me a few minutes, you have to be in the right PDF manual. I don't believe they have their parts indexed on the site correctly. The link below should be the part we are looking for. http://www.amkproducts.com/bulk3.asp?part=B%2D12016
Do you know the nut number, looks like B-13384 from the 56-73 pdf (Nuts - Nut & Retainers, Nylon, Pierce, Rivet, Sleeve, Spring, Stamped, Stop, Well, Wing)
What I posted was the number from the bag that the parts came in. It was an exact match....no trimming required.
It has been years since I took this car a part does anyone have any pictures of how the valance is installed. Does someone have any pictures?
I don't have any pictures, but all it takes are the two clips I referred to in the earlier posts. Put those on the ends on the brackets welded to the valence, use phillips screws to attach along the top. Pretty straight forward.
I'm in the same boat. Earlier, I was looking at my NOS valance and thinking, "How did that thing go on again?" I don't even know if I have the hardware. Micah
not gonna lie. the original set-up is a bit hokey and i cut it off, welded a couple inches of ready rod onto it and a washer/nut from the inside...works 10x better IMO
