Long tube headers on a late model 302

    just kicking around the idea..wont happen for quite some time, but wanted to see what work is involved in the project for long tubes.. I understand the long tubes dont fit a column shift, but the late 302 models have the linkage bolt in a slightly different spot. Im guessing there's still the same problem..right? am I stuck still until I switch to a floorshift? Any insight on this helps Thanks:)

    Couldn't you use a lokar universal column shift cable?

    Still a problem. The entire shifting linkage, rods, everything hit the headers. Go to a floor shifter, cut away all the column shift stuff. Problem fixed.

    Alright I was afraid that would be the only answer! Truth hurts haha. I am far from a fan of those aftermarket floor shifters..thanks though for clarifying for me!
