When I bought my Grabber 5 years ago the guy threw this in as well. It has been in a box since I bought the car and I doubt that I will use it. I will probably end up selling it, so I would like to know exactly what it is and the approximate value. Is this for Mavericks only or will it work for Mustangs and others? Is there anything missing, like the compressor? How much is it worth? Thanks!

It is an "dealer add-on" air conditioning unit. Honestly.....probably not wroth a whole lot because it would be near impossible to get parts for.

So you think it should basically go in the trash can?

Put it on Ebay, and see what happens.
The place I started my apprenticeship at, use to install under dash units in cars, they even had some new in the boxes in the early 90's, I always wished I would have kept one.

Those are the refrigerant hoses, and the 2 smaller ones are condensate drains.

    I woudn't pitch it.....but then again.....I don't pitch ANYTHING (well...rarely).

Put it on ebay. Somebody might want it for a street rod or use it for parts, etc.

Looks kinda like an old Sears unit. In between the knobs looks like the old "S R" emblem [Sears & Roebuck].
It probably uses standard ac components, like the expansion valve, blower motor, etc. If the blower works and there are no leaks in the evaporator, it could still be used.
The way it's made, looks to be for a package shelf car, 69.5-73.

Thanks for the information. I guess I'll throw it up on ebay and see if I can get some lunch money.
