We have yards like that too. I bought a 64 V8 Falcon 2-door wagon for $450.

The Maverick is a 40+ year car, it's becoming desirable, what did you expected? Their price has nowhere to go but up!(y)

Most mavericks are sold around $4000 to $6000 for the condition I paid 11 years ago for $1000. Why do people think that mavericks are a cheap buy? They are collectible, we all can say that. We all own mavericks? They might not be as collectible as a chevelle or corvette. But still they have a following, just look at this site! Look how much parts have gone up?
Paint jobs have gone up to insane prices. Almost $8000 to $15,000 for a good paint job. I don't think I could rebuild my Maverick for less then $20k now if I started now.
    A side note....
I have put over $35k into my 66 Chevelle SS, and it is nowhere as nice as the maverick. It is all in parts. I do labor myself so that tells you how much I have spent over the years. Just saying....

...and just the other day there was a thread about how ...cheap and worthless our cars are. that no one wants to pay anything for them as collector cars...you can't have it both ways...
