    I have looked long, and hard at both vehicles, and I personally like the Comet the best.

    I like the "nose" on the front of the Comet, as well as the grill, hood scoop, and tall lights.

    What is your preference, the 71-72 Comet GT or 71-72 Maverick Grabber?

    {sorry I forgot to put the year in the poll}

    Depends on what year Grabber you're talking about. 70,71,72 73,74/75

    Each year had slight differences, the later had BIG differences.

    Favorite would be 71 Grabber.

    You can't deny the sexyness of the Comet tail panel, hood scoop and stripe from the '74.

    Grabber just because of the nose.

    I actually prefer the factory ad ons of the Comet GT over the Grabber. Prefer the hood scoop hands down.

    Sorry Comet people, but the nose and the tail lights are fugly. As far as the year is concerned, '72 Grabber is the best. Hands down! :D

    Some of the paint colors and schemes make the Grabber look overall better. All except for those Pinto-ish tail lights, they ruin if for me.

    Got to give props to the Comet tail, I do kind of like the GT hood scoop too.

    Whenever I get around to building a car, it will likely be a Comet coupe body, with a Maverick front end, grabber rear spoiler, and small bumpers. Kind of a Johnny Cash Comet. No Ford or Mercury script either.

    Been wanting to do a 4 banger rat rod of some kind, could be I might morph it all into a Maverick/Comet.

    The maverick came out before the pinto, so they're maverick lights :D

    But of course 99% of the Hot Rod community calls them pinto lights :oops:

    I voted for the Comet since I like 'em enough that I bought 2! :thumbs2:

    The choice comes down to how much time are you willing to spend hunting down parts when you need them?

    Maverick parts show up on a regular basis on the for sale adds here, Comet parts? Not so much...
