I can see why you'd want them all the same size with sequencing.

Briefly thought about adding bulbs to go with the lenses that replace the reflectors. I'll take a look.

I'll go through my photos and see if I have pictures showing what I did to get them to work - heck, I took pictures of everything else, why not them

I'd appreciate it. Looked thru your Gallery but only found one of your tail panel cut out presumably for the Chevy lights.

Here's the photos I took as I was building them - JB Weld played a big part in getting the extra buckets attached to the reflector backing plates - my pot metal frames were pitted and I used JB Weld to fill the pits too - I used parts of spare Maverick tail light lenses to replace the back up lights too but I don't have any pictures of them. :)

I had the seperate holes cut out of the tail panel for the working Bobcat lights but they disappeared when I cut out for the Caprice lights as you see in my Gallery - the only holes I have to fill in, when changing over to the Caprice lights, are those two extra holes I needed to drill to mount the Bobcats - the Caprice lights overlap only half of those holes and you can still see them

One more picture showing the JB Weld job and another showing the extra holes before the Caprice carvings :yup:

    Thanks for posting the pictures.

I may not be able to bring myself to cut the tail panel to get the additional lights. May just use the lenses to replace the damaged reflectors. Gotta think about it. The pictures helped.

Thanks for the link to the tech article. Hadn't seen it.

I would like to have the reflectors if they're in good shape. No hurry. It'll take me a while to figure out what to do with the rusted, pitted bezels. Both reflectors in the lights I just bought are damaged/cracked.

The reflectors might look better than lenses if I don't go for the functional additional lights. MikeG's functional lights look great in the video -- just haven't convinced myself yet to cut the panel that much.

I can understand that if your car is original - I've cut mine up so much, I cut the tail panel once----------then cut it again :rofl2:

I was wondering how that would look.

Also wondering if hi temp JB Weld would survive a powder coat oven and if chrome powder coat would look OK. Maybe not next to the chrome bumper.

Nope, it'll pop off because of the heat transfer diferances.

The powder coaters I have dealt with in the past had a special metal impregnated filler they used.
