a warped head wont brake head bolts. either your over torquing them or they are used and weaken. either way if you broke one or more you need to get a new set and make sure that your torque wrench is accurate.
No Bro it was another one. I put the one I got from you in #2, I snapped # 10 in the third round, I rented a T-wrench and the head of the wrench was loose, same as mine. No big deal though. My God son and I were already gonna drop a 351W in it anyway. We'll start on the restoration of the engine bay while we're waiting for the motor.
No I didn't have the head checked I thought about it because the motor was severely overheated and blew the head gasket. I followed the torque sequence both times. I suspect the wrench. But no big I was gonna drop in a 351W anyway. My Godson and I thought It might be fun to try and burn the tires with the 6. However we really want to get started with the restoration. PS I gonna buy a top of the line T-Wrench for this V8.
If your engine was overheated get another set of head bolts! What happens is two things, the bolts stretch because the block and head expand when overheated, and the actual metal structure has been compromised! I'm sure someone here has a set!
