Anyone familiar with this rev limiiter. Looks like a nice unit. I pulled a good one the other day. Thought my car was a 4 speed and hit neutral. What a moron. For some reason I had second gear in my head. Nope it was in third.
This is one day after I finished explaining a reverse manual valve body to my brother.

Not familiar with it. I use the MSD 6AL. It allows you to choose what chip you want for the limiter. And yes I know it really works.:)

If you have a 6AL or two step rev limiter...you can get an adjustable shifnoid chip t plug in and only have to have one chip for a very wide array of rpm's to suit your needs. One chip to keep up with instead of a handful. The adjustable chip is about the same price as a 5-pack of plug-in modules...just a thought.

I have factory duraspark on the car. Was looking for an add on limiter without going full blown MSD ignition.

Did you get one of these rev limiters? I also want to add rev limiting to my existing ignition and that looks like a good choice.

For some reason the C4 didn't do the 1-2 upshift and the valves floated at 6000 RPM. Do NOT want to do that again.

I just installed a Pertronix Ignitor III in my car for the same reason. Its an electronic ignition, with rev limiter with NO external box. It all fits inside the dizzy and only has two wires coming out (to the coil). Eliminates the box and bundle of wires associated with the Duraspark and works great. Did I mention built in rev limiter? Cost the same as the unit you're looking at.

Doesn't appear to be available for Duraspark distributor. What am I missing?

Oh yeah I forgot about that. I had a points dizzy on my shelf, so I dropped it into that. Even if you consider the cost of a dizzy snagged off craigslist or out of the local pull-a-part its still a really good deal. I've been quite pleased with the performance for the little bit of mileage I've put on it so far.

I've been trying to find something local. Havent had too much luck with shipping from the US lately. Seems to have gotten very pricey. Our dollar has been doing so well to buy US but the shipping I swear has gone up.

I have the Pertronix Flame Thrower ll distributor in my '73. I have been recently looking at the Flame Thrower lll moduel to install in my distributor. I like the adjustable rev limiter and the ad says that it is as hot as an external box, although I have'nt actually compaired the output of the Pertronix lll moduel to MSD, Mallory, etc. :Handshake:tiphat:
