i finally have the money to do my disk brake swap. i was told the front spindles came off of a 75 granada and the rear end came off of 79 versailles.

i know i need to change something in the front in order to use the front spindles but cant remember what its called? also what year do i get the item or it doesnt matter. for the rear since its a 9 inch, i was told to change the yoke. again what year do i ask for? the calipers for the rear end are old dirty and most likely bad. should i send them to get rebuilt or get reman ones? i found the ss brake lines but not sure if i order them for a versailles or maverick (rear) granada or maverick (front).

if anyone can get me part numbers or a link to these items i would be forever greatful

The front spindles should just bolt up. Since you probably didn't get the front steel brake lines off the car you may need to bend up a couple new ones to get them to the right location for the caliper. you will be getting real familiar with your closest part stores brake hose section and brake line adapters. it usually takes some trial and error to get it togethor.

The rear you will only need to change the yoke if the ujoint dosn't match up. If thats the case it would be easier to find a u-joint that will match your driveshaft and your rear yoke. Take measurments and go through the boxes at the store to find one that will work.

no, i didnt get the hard lines :( i got the spindles off ebay. the trial and error is going to be a problem cause im taking my car to a shop to get everything put on. i dont want to keep my car there for long cause i dont want to get charged extra to leave it over night/s. ill call lopers and hope they have the u-joint i need.

    thx for the info

rear calipers for the versailles rearend?
rockauto.com should have everything you need.

i advise you too keep every single bit of the versailles rear, parts are getting scarce!

edit: versailles rear brake hoses can be found here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REAR...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5add1eb1c0

yes you are correct, versailles rear end. when i first bought the rear end it was bare besides the caliper brackets. then i took it to a local shop and someone had the same rear end but didnt want/need anything that had to do with the stock brake set up so i bought the set up for $100  but of course everything has to be replaced. i lucked out on the rotors because all they needed was to get turned.

thanks for the link but im going with stainless braided lines. i will try my luck with rockauto for the calipers
