I have been keeping an eye on my fathers car for quite some time now. and finally it is my possession after 16 years. I asked him a while ago what it is and he had then told me that it was a 1974 Ford Maverick Grabber GT sport. Now I have done the searches that I can possibly think of and nothing has come up. I figured that someone out there has to have the story of this car. I would like to know if my Father was misinformed or if what he was told was true. I would also like to know where I can find body panels for this car that dont belong to a 3/4 already rusted car. I would like to restore it, with some modifications. nothing major, just suspesion and drivetrain. please get back to me on here or by email. point_5_rob@msn.com.
Post pictures! Its easy to get misinformation. The only GT cars were in mexico and brazil. In the states there werent any. But its a possibility that it could have been some dealer added special, but its slim to none.
There is a Ford Maverick Grabber and then there is a Mercury Comet GT. Could someone have mixed the two? Pics would be great.
from Northeast Pennsylvania Aftermarket quarter panels are available from various companies but are all made from the same presses from a source in Canada. So take the cheapest price. Anything else you might need will be used but you can find the parts here or on Ebay. Where is Meadow Lake located?
