This guy is saying he can do our panels. I am waiting to see how much. I bet it won't be cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965...016QQitemZ260632543476QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW Any of you ever communicated with him?
Have you checked with your local upholstery shop? A friend is getting his whole interior re-done in his '66 Fairlane for $650. This includes front and rear seats, door panels, dash pad, rear package tray and carpet + padding.
That's a great price. A local guy quoted me $200 per seat......total $600 for two buckets and the rear seat. I decided to wait, may change the buckets to a later style if I find some that I like. Didn't ask about the door panels after he quoted me that price.....
I did the seat upholstery on my 68 Mustang myself. Wrap dry cleaner plastic over the foam and the cover slides right on. If you decide to do your own seats it would be best to invest in some very, very long handle hog ring pliers.
I have checked in the past about seats, not panels. If I recall it was like $150-$200 a seat for my Escort Gt's. The panels I found looking them up after reading a few posts on here about how no one makes them. I'm pretty sure I could make the board, it's the stitching and patterns I know I can't do. I have a decent set now but I'm sure once I get to them I may want new ones, once the car is painted and stuff.. Based on the pics the guy has I was impressed, but new anything looks good lol.
