bosh is really good quality. i dont know wich pump you have and what is desgined for but i would not question the quality of a bosh pump.

I wouldn't run an electric pump without an inirtial switch to kill it in an accident. Since the mechanical pump is fine from my engine I use it and don't have to fuss with the inirtial switch.

any ford car with fuel injection will have it in the trunk on the left side beneath the carpeted cover on the SIDE of the trunk. it is black with a red button and a grey clip with 2 wires going into the bottom. it is located in a spot easy to reach in case you need to reset it.
they should be mandatory on any electrical fuel pump.

Think I saw something somewhere saying it has to be mounted correctly if you want it to function when you need it. Wish I could tell you more but just think you should look into it. Maybe someone who knows will comment.

    Inertia switch

    Hi Racer:
I run inertia switches on all the cars we build . I also use this switch when I'm parked in towns at various motels on the Hot Rod Power Tours
I attend. Just "trip" the switch in the trunk and the car won't start. I do this even though the alarms are active. Not a bad idea. :) Cometized

Here are some instructions on where and how to mount the sw. http://www.studebaker-info.org/tech/fpsafetysw.html

I don't normally comment on things I don't know about but just wanted to caution you since it hadn't been mentioned and I think its a critical safety feature.

Good idea to use it to disable the car. :thumbs2:
