I figure i will buy it, use it, and offer to anyone on here to use.

I would ask for a "deposit" of full price plus shipping up front. When you are done you can keep it or send it back to me. If i get it back, you get your "deposit" back. If not, you bought it.

Repeat as necessary. Maybe even charge small "handling fee" so i can make a couple bucks off it.

Who would be interested? Lets say $20 handling for my profit?

So if you send it back to me you pay $20 plus shipping both ways.

    Sound fair?

Positive trader rating if returned or if agree to keep it before the transaction. I will not give negative if you decide to keep it during or after transaction.

$20 "rent" sounds like a heck of a deal. If I needed one, I'd call.

It would be $20 plus shipping both ways. Probably closer to $40-50 by the time you are done.

Never seen on in person so not sure how heavy and bulky it is and those will affect the shipping costs.

Not sure if it would be feasible after all that. Which is why i am tossing out this feeler thread.

Gene, that is NOT where I got the idea. (actually, I just opened that ad and thought it was for SALE for $45, and was getting all on it!!!). It shows $220 for the replacement cost. About what I expected.

But I see he has shipping for $15, so I know in real life, I could do it for $10...

I am not getting too much response, so I may just rent that one from him for a week, and keep it easy.

973 sales and 100% positive. Sounds like a pretty safe bet.

Wow! Good timing. I just got this weeks National Dragster Magazine and it has an article and tips on modifying fender lips. They use the Eastwood roller and give it really high marks. They said to heat the paint so it doesn't crack and also that if it has any filler it'll crack too. Also take your time and move it a little with each pass.:)

Justin, if i dont get more interest, then it would be more feasible for me to rent the ebay one an be done.

i assumed more interest since it is a fairly hot topic on here. I figured I could buy one and eventually have it paid off, maybe even make a couple bucks off of it, and everyone who wanted to use it could do so cheaply.

I don't see that I would ever use it again, so not sure if I would buy one outright, unless I can get 5 or 6 others interested.

    I don't know... :hmmm:

Two things putting me off. One is the fact that I only need it once. The other is the shipping. The only place I have to mail or ship from here is the post office, and they are picky and expensive. I would rather put or keep that money in our pockets. But it would be nice not to have to use a hammer and dolly. ;)

Scooper, have you tried your local body shops or craigslist? we have a local body shop in our area that does this for about 65.00 bucks (for normal rolls, cost more if your really trying to flare), done alot of cars and has good experience doing it. In and out in about an hour.

    Just another option

Good point on finding someone local to do it for me.

I just figured if we brought one into the forum the many of us needing it could get it cheaply. We have talked about them for years but few of us have actually put our hands on one.
