final say so is nothing is reusable, both AXLES are BENT and the splines twisted on the LR, cross pin is bent, and stuck in the mini spool and carrier ,the ring gear and pinion is missing teeth and stripped, the chunk it self is broken were it blew the bearing caps out and into peices. and the housing is bent and has a horrid gouge in it
:thumbs2: guess when i break stuff i break it good

Now thats some serious damage, I will bet some of it was already hurt before this launch.

I destroyed 2- 8 inchers before I switched to a 9" but that was in my 61 Falcon with a top loader 4 speed launching at 5,500 on slicks. I twisted and axle and stripped a mini spool fixed that then I collapsed the axle housing right at the spring perches,

When you go to a 9 incher make sure you have good axles (31 spline at least) and you should never break it. Stick cars are touch on rear ends but I sure miss mine :yup:

Holy crap thats awesome. Go big or go home I always say. Its kind of funny when something comes into the shop blown up like that. Glad you didnt get hurt when it let go but I'm still sitting here chuckling to myself. :rofl2:
I'd laugh just as much if it was my own car so dont be offended. Damn good excuse to get a nice 9":thumbs2: You know your going to need it with that motor and laughing gas anyhow.

yeah this stick sure is hard on parts

Im seriously considering putting a 31 spline 8.8 under it so i can run a good cover that i can put some preload on the caps.

I havent even got to hose it yet still trying to tune the bugs out
