http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-150110/ summit is now making a 347 bare block maybe this winter ill be getting one bananamanbananaman
I don't think Summit is making them, they may be selling them. what makes it a...347...block... could be...306...331...347...depends on what you buy to build it with. is it a...roller or flat tappet...block? what year is the block? ...... "Engine Block, Cast Iron, 2-Bolt Mains, 4.030 in. Diameter Bore, 1-Piece Rear Main Seal, Ford, Small Block, 302."
The paragraph at the bottom of the ad states that the block is...Roller compatible and "clearanced" I suppose that could mean the pan rails/cyl bore bottoms have been "notched" for a stroker crank/rods. The ad does make reference to clearance for "H" beam rods.
It is a roller block, at least the one in the picture. You can do a 360 view and if you roll it over the mounting points for the spider are there.
well idk if summit makes them either but its under their brand yea thats what i meant that its cleared for up too a 347 and i think its a roller motor which would make its a late model block but thats not a bad price at all for a block thats ready to go
I saw that in Hot Rod this month, for that price, it's cheaper than taking your own block to the machine shop.
Yeah. Frank has a room at the Summit in McDonough. It has a sofa bed, mini-fridge, microwave, and hot plate. He has to use the employees rest room.
