I grinded down the pedestols on the other heads since the valve train wasn't right. THe pedestol i grinded down wasn't flat at the bottom, 500 lift cam broke the bolt and the intake side didnt know what the hell to do with the exhaust rocker arm getting in the way:16suspect
ok this is new info. please elabirate. post pics if you can. grinding the pedestols is not a good idea. you should get shorter push rods.
On the old heads, not the new heads. The new heads are completely stock or i would have mentioned it (not trying to agrivate you bryant:Handshake)
My 73 302 is a positive stop rocker assembly - torque to specs and thats it. My Muskrat I have to maually adjust becaust I installed screw-in studs and roller rockers.
