I have located new information online about the Shelby Mexican Mavericks

Why does the shelby maverick have a comet grill and hood?

 

Because Comet grills & hoods are way more awesome....LOL

 

Has too many accessories for me.
I do like the air dam and I see it has Ray's louvers in the back. Could that grill be a GT grill? Looks like it to me.

 

Because they wanted to make a decent car look great?

If they used the tail lights too it would have been PERFECT!

i wonder if they sold comets down there labeled as mavericks.....cause in these accessories brochures it has a comet also, but ive never heard of a original comet owner from down there... also almost all the shelby items were available from the dealers ive seen numerous Mexican mavericks with the hood tach, front spoiler and hood scoop. Also from my understanding the CJ scoop was available too! It's good thing i know Spanish, i keep contact with several maverick owners down there

i'll post them in the morning! my computer has been having touble with the JAVA thing and it wont let me post them to my imageshack/photobucket account, and it takes forever to upload to tinypic

Wouldnt it be easier to take comets and put maverick on the side? lol

Two surviving shelby de mexico mavericks possibly spotted in mexico.

TWO SURVIVING SHELBY DE MEXICO MAVERICKS POSSIBLY SPOTTED IN MEXICO.

I have found a facebook page entry from a guy in Mexico that appears to be a Mustang Club Puebla, A.C. member.

If you read down, he mentions spotting two of the surviving Shelby de Mexico Mavericks in Puebla, Mexico. One of them the "Gold" color, that is listed as one of the 6 colors Shelby de Mexico used.

Again, I translated it using Google Translate.

So Maverick75, if you can email or contact this group in Mexico, about these Shelby de Mexico Maverick sightings, that would be awesome.

Hey Maverick75, If you can ask them nicely if they have ANY additional information about these Shelby de Mexico Mavericks in general, even if they don't have pics or know where to find them, that would be great!

I know from the facebook page that these guys have seen the pictures of the original Eduardo Velazquez's Shelby de Mexico Maverick at the auto show, because they posted links to the same pictures we have, but from another website. This makes me believe they at least are knowledgable enough when they spot a Maveick with these options. They sound very knowledgable of the Shelby de Mexico story in general. So good luck.
