Look what Fed-ex just dropped off at my house. I ordered it Friday aft at about 3PM. it arrived today (Wed) at 2 PM. That is quick servivce. Thank you Jimmy2gates for "Champ-ioning" this project
It is right at 100º here it is too hot to fool with it this aft. I may do it in the morning.
I also re-jetted my carb. Went for 68s to 64s. Runs better and hopefully not as rich. We'll see. I dumped 22 0z of water down the carb just now to knock out the carbon. again we will see. tail pipes look cleaner with just that short bit of running.

    May be my imagination

Bob ,no worries ,they are a great rad ,i still run the first designed ones in my race car and have never run over 180,with this new one you may have to cut a little of the cross member (just a notch) to make room for the peacock .Its a thicker rad than the original for better cooling yet.Jimmy:Handshake

It barely slid in behind. I did have to Massage the rad suooprt with a 24oz. hammer to get it low enough for the holes to line up. Very minor problem. I also used a punch and "Moved the cross member about 1/16" away from the pitcock to allow room. Very easy install.

I just got back from a 60 mile ride. 50 on the interstate and 10 in town and back country roads. Temp ran 185-195º all the way. I stopped for directions and with the motor off it rose to 210º. less than 1/4 mile later it was back at 185º.electric fan never came on except briefly after I was stopped. (I am doing the happy dance in my pants right now). Before, the temps would be at 220º minimum. fan used to run all the time.
