How long do you think this is gonna last before it starts a fire or short out? It's a car not a house.
You can get shrink wrap tubing at Harbor freight or any number of places and connectors fron any where. safe is better than having to pull the motor because you burned the paint off it
Not trying to pic your new engine apart too much, But I would suggest a larger air cleaner assembly. I don`t believe the one in the picture is large enough for a v-8 to breath as it should.
It's big enough for that two barrel carb. He can get a different one when he puts on a four barrel carb but he will have to go taller because the distributor will be in the way of going to a larger diameter.
In my opinion it isn`t. And with a Four barrel carb and intake there will be room for a larger Diameter air cleaner even with the duraspark distributor.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I did mention he could put a larger air filter and cleaner assembly on it when he put the 4 barrel carb on it. The low profile 14" I got was in the way of the large cap - I went back to the small cap and got away with it.
might I suggest...weather-tite connectors...from Summit... ...bite the bullet and buy the..3 piece tool kit and crimping tool... ...:Handshake...
