Just spent 16 hours this weekend working on the wife's convertible... ugh. New door lock actuators, rear quarter window motors, inner and outer quarter window beltlines, door window adjustments, quarter window adjustments, water coming in everywhere, nothing lines up. Even the weather stripping is adjustable! :90: Has anyone else felt my pain?

Not finished yet, but moving closer. Will need to spend a few more hours this week buttoning up the interior, new door weather stripping and windshield trim weather stripping.

All the while, the Comet sits and waits.

Yep. I've replaced our door lock actuators once already, pass side has quit again in about 8 months. My drivers side top cylinder is shot, top seal gushing fluid. Looks like I will have to take off half the inside of the car to replace it. Ours don't leak too bad unless you pressure wash it, but it will have to have a new top before long. I guess when I get finished with the Mav, I'll start on it again....

I didn't miss the fox body part, and I also haven't failed to see how similar those fox body convertible setups look to the one my wife has. I hope she gets tired of the convertible and sells it before things start to fail on it. It is already 6 years old, and I think us keeping it in the garage is helping to extend the life of it. Also, she hardly ever drops the top, so when it quits, she may not know for 6 months.
