Sounds like a good deal Robby. I've got a Sprint also, but right now I've got my 70 being worked on. Hopefully I'll get around to it before too long.:)

Wow, there sure seems to be alot of Sprints around.....
I thought they would have been much rarer.....
Anyways, if it's as good as you say, you stole the car, and get us some pic's :thumbs2:

When I joined this forum 3 years ago, there were only a handful of Sprints reported here and few in the registry. Because of their distinctive color combination, combined with the fact that our cars are attracting more interest, more have popped out of the woodwork. Even if many more come forward, it is still a rare sight.

Since moving to Florida in '91, I have seen many Mavericks and Comets at shows. Many of them were Grabbers. A couple were Comet GT's. I have also seen a few Stallions. The only Sprints, period, I have seen at a car show have been mine and Mavaholic's. Dennis's is the ONLY Maverick Sprint I have ever seen at a show. They are definately a rare sight, for sure!

By the way, they reproduce the hood decal now. Graphic Express here in Florida has it on their website.

Yep. Many were produced but few remain. Most everyone I talk to about my Sprint knows of the Grabber but few if any know about the Sprint. I've seen Dennis', yours, mine and one other on the road.

One car buff friend still refers to my Sprint as a Grabber. I don't correct him anymore. :hmmm: But, as has been pointed out before, rarity doesn't necessarily equate to desirability. I think they're all great.

My hood decal arrived a few days after the order. Gotta check to see if Graphic Express has the matching red pin stripes in stock yet.

I just saw one in a small wrecking yard the other day. I'm off this week so I think I'll go check it out. If so I'll get the info and some pics for Mavaholic.:)

Originally a decal. I asked Graphic Express about a stencil but no plans for one. I probably would have painted the blue on my hood if a stencil were available.
