Think I will have to. 75 with 250/c4, Slotted mags like I want. Has my 5 lug with disc brakes of course. Ac I would like to add to my 72 Maverick, Power=steering I already have but might could keep for parts or sell. Power brakes I don't want but might could sell.
It has a good amount of surface rust and the inside looks rough. I'll try and down load a picture but don't want to needlessly clutter up the site.
I can get it for $500. Figure maybe I could recoup $200 or so in parts or recycling money.
    What do you think?
    Thanks
    Clint

500 is too much..What if one of the rims is bent? or corroded so bad, it'll be hard to seal...Maybe 250.

I'd try to talk them down first, but 500 dosen't seem too bad to me. The wheels, rearend and discs alone should be worth that. Plus, looks like it has a good grille, trim and other stuff you could sell.

I don't think $500 is too bad. The days of the $200 parts car is probably gone forever. :(

Have you checked to make your it is actually disc brakes? Cause you say "ofcourse" but in 75 it was just an option and not standard.

Clint, just to give you an idea- I sold a Comet grill on eBay for $135, tail lights should bring $25-$50, trim might bring $50-$75. There's about half of what they want for it. I'd make a lower offer first, never know, cash talks. Lots of good parts to sell there and still keep what you need.

    I'd say about $350

I have not seen the car in person yet. Don't have the money yet. He is a relative of a good friend of mine.
I thought all Mavericks/Comets after 73 had disc brakes? Guess I was wrong.
I am mainly looking for the disc brakes and 5 lug set up then the v8 stuff which this car does not have. I might could be happy with the 200 in my car or the 250 in the parts car for a while though but I know I'll want a V8 as soon as I could get one in there.
He sounds firm on the $500 but I would flash him some cash when I was there in person and see what he'll take.
I have made my wife mad in Lowes before when I would ask if that is the least they'd take for something. lol Thing is I have gotten money off on stuff several times just by asking the manager of the area I was in.
Money off a JD riding mower, Money off the bagger for it, money off on a $300 sink that had a small chip in one corner that the caulk would cover. lol
She has since stopped getting mad about it and started asking herself. lol
I'm going to try and get the car. If I have to pay $500 for it I will. I feel like if I get what I want off of it I can sell the rest and break pretty close to even.
Done it several times on 67-72 F100's.
    Thanks
    clint

No 73's ever had them, they started being an option in 74. In 75 Power was an option. Then i think in 76 they became standard.
