Side signal light problem

I have been putting my 70' maverick back together but my side signal lights wont come on. But the thing is there's power going through the lights does anyone know whats wrong?. thanks for the help

 

side signal lights are you talking about the side marker lights?
if so check the ground wire.

But there is power through the light its just not coming on even with a bulb I know that works

 

how are you checking this?

Check the bulbs, if one side is bad, the other won't light up.

 

With a test light I check the one side it has power then I check the other and it has power on the light.

 

well if you have power, then have you checked for ground.....
