Hey fellas look what I brought home today, I think its a 70 Grabber but I'm not certain. It does'nt have the correct hood on it but thats actually a bonus. The car was originally orange, looking in the trunk it does'nt appear that the spoiler has ever been removed from the car. I've not gone over it with a fine tooth comb, but it appears to be a pretty solid car.

and u cant tell a '70 Grabber by the vin. in 1970, maverick grabbers didnt have their own "vin code" so the only real way to tell would be a Marti report at this point.

looks like a nice car though :yup: when they did the repaint, they copied the Grabber stripes nicely.... even on the tail panel where it goes to the very tip of the spoiler

You can find out more info about 1970 Maverick Grabbers on my website (see below).

If it is a 1970....and it was originally orange...it HAS to be a Grabber. That was the only way one could get an orange Maverick in 1970. (Grabber Orange)

Thanks, Fort Barnwell is a small little community about an hour and a half east of Raleigh, little over an hour from the coast.

I knew the 70 did'nt distinguish by the vin, but I did'nt know the Marti could give that info. How much does a Marti report cost?

Hey Craig, the car was orange, you can see orange in all places where it would have been from the factory. I did'nt know you could only get orange on the Grabber in 70, thats neat stuff!!!!:yup:

Did you ever figure out the year of it?? The interior does not look black all 70 grabbers were black interior.
