Anyone know the ohms rating for the 1975 mav i6 and 1989 mustang 5.0 fuel sending units? I'm using a 5.0 guage cluster with my stock mav tank.

the mav should be 75-10(empty/full). 89 stang is 140-33.

Find a shop that can recalibrate it...

I purchased the correct gauge for the maverick sending unit, but i'm not sure how to wire the sending unit. There are two prongs coming from the sending unit. One should connect to the gauge and the other is a ground?

i did some research and it looks like all i need to do is connect the gauge to the correct prong on the sending unit, but i'm not sure which one. i can't click any links due to a virus, so i'm hoping someone can explain which of the two sending unit prongs goes to the gauge...ie the one closer or further from the fuel tube.

found the issues...bad ground and the output is the post closer to the front of the car.
