head swap starts today

Don't forget to plug the thermactor holes, on the front and backs of those E7TE heads.

What springs did you end up getting and how did you decide?

 

Pfft, the later cars came with these .....High compression Race pistons

 

That first picture,,,, you got some pens laying in lifter valley or are they metal straws to enjoy the Mt Dew with????

 

Push rods

I decided on springs by going to the little performance shop in bowling green, i gave him the specs on my cam and he knew right away what i needed, he told me that those are the same specs of the comp cam and suggested these springs, he hasnt failed me yet so my motor is in his hands

 

forgot the header gaskets.....

 

even with 53cc heads they only gave me 8.2:1 CP

 

firing it up at 7, i want to make sure that waterpump isnt going to leak (yeh i had to replace the gaskets on that too.)

Did you remember to put RTV on the bolts that go trough the water ports?

I don't even know which ones they are, so i just put it on all the W.P. bolts and no leaks
