I would like to put on some polyglas tires. I love the look. I might go with BF radial T/A though. I think the wide F60/15 would look good on the back with a bit narrower tire on the front, like an E70/15 series. Any wheel size or backspacing info would help thanks!

Those sizes ought to be an easy fit.

15x6 wheel on the front with neutral offset. 15x7 on the back with neutral or up to 1 inch offset.

If you are going to drive the car a lot, I would lean toward radials. Repop small letter Polyglas tires would be extra-cool for show, though.

I worked for Goodyear in 1980. Found two sets of small letter Polys in the stockroom, and thought, "Man ... these are old " (They were 8-9 years old then).

I should have bought them and stashed them away....

Thanks, I know the old 'plies don't handle well. ......if only a radial was made that had that same look. It's a product of their construction i guess. The T/A's are about the closest thing really; even the new redlines are unmistakeably radial looking.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!

what about these? i heard that the way they're constructed now they handle more like radials.

I have new BFG t/a 255/55/15 on mine and the traction is terrible but to be expected I guess. The reason I'm getting rid of them this season is the tread block is very big and they pick up large stones. Already cost me a re-spray on the lower quarter. Just something to consider before you buy. I much preferred the old TA tread.

You cant beat the smoke show of a polyglass tire.
