Hotrod 1979

I just finished watching a bootleg copy of the movie Hotrod from 1979 with my son, and i really enjoyed it. I have been looking for this movie for at least 25 years and finally found it at a swap meet. As usual when i watch a movie i look for Mavericks and Comets and yes there is one in the movie. At the 24 minute mark there is a white 4-door big bumper Maverick that you see from the 4-doors back.

As this is a drag racing movie i was hoping to see a race car or funny car Maverick but no such luck. Anyway the movie was cool, my son liked it and the grey primer Willys was very cool.

Munns root beer ???? Robert Culp !!! "Borrow" a blower from the display car in a museum and kick the kids butt at the strip in a Willy's. I remember that flick...

 

Never seen it. But I also look for Mavs and Comets in movies. Seems I always see Mavs.
Hey! Why is it ok for cops to lean on and/or write tickets on our cars, but if you touch theirs, they twist your arm off and lock you up?!

I thought the cops were there for follow up. Protection... who would have guessed it.

Also if i'm not mistaken, isn't it an Oldsmobile with huge N50's on the back that loses in the end?
