That is within the classified rules and would not result in an infraction

I think so, but would have to look to make sure.

Again, I think so, but not sure of the year, etc.
Right, but I don't want to give away a $200 part for $20 bucks, just because I don't know what it is worth. That is why I am asking how to find approx values.

EDIT--I see Stefan just chimed in with some constructive criticism...:tiphat:

Just send it to me for disposal! :D

Seriously, send me a list of the comet stuff you have. Maybe you'll have something I need and we can work out a deal.

Just because I got it free or cheaply doesn't mean it isn't good stuff. I paid $100 for the 2 fenders and door I am using, but wouldn't sell them for that price. I would expect much more. It is not my fault I found it just prior to being crushed and the junk yard thought is was pretty much worthless.

I paid around $100 for that NOS valence, but wouldn't part with it for less than $300. It is worth that to me, maybe not anyone else, because it took me a long time to find it, and it is the only one I have ever seen in perfect condition.

So I don't want to get ripped off, but I also don't want to just give this stuff away.

Actually, some of it I WILL give away if someone pays the shipping.

Sounds like you have a better idea of what you want than you realize. Your probably like me and hate to put an item priced too high and have people think your trying to hose them. Dont worry about it just price them at what you want for them with a negotiable tag.

You are absolutely correct. I have made lots of friends on here, and I don't want to seem like a jerk by overpricing stuff. But I also don't want mto be taken advantage of by accidentally WAY underpricing something.

So far, I have sold several of the bigger items, gave away some of the smaller stuff, etc. It is moving out pretty nicely, and I haven't thrown anything out, yet. It seems like those 2 timing sets are the only thing trash-bound, at this time, unless someone identifies them as being useable and wants them. I will just give those away.

    Hi Scooper
I sure could use a passenger door for a 2 dr. 74 Comet. Do you have anything in your stock pile?
    Thanks

I know where one is, but you wouldn't want to ship it any distance. It would cost hundreds to ship, especially from down in Texas.

To sorta wrap this thread up, I ended up doing searches in our For Sale section to see what similar items in similar shape sold for. Most of the big stuff I found easily. It is the little stuff that is still hard to sell, like the pushrods and 13/16s of a set of roller lifters. At least these items are small enough that I can box them up and store them in my next attic, or pull a Rick Book and just give the box away to someone when I am done with my car.

Plus I ended up just giving a lot of the small stuff away. So far, haven't put anything into the trash except for a single rail from a 67 mustang bucket seat, and a half a spark plug wire with the tip cut off and recycled somewhere else.
