Tonight Larry Winter came over to my house and delivered to me the gift of Comet. Such a nice gift, which we placed in the backyard. It was really more of a 1/8th of a Comet. What i mean is that from his collection of Mavericks and Comets he cut the rear end off of one of his 4-door Comets and simply gave it to me, how cool is that.:clap:I am going to use the rear frame rail parts to replace mine, trunk steel to fix my trunk and parts of the quarters as patch panels to fix mine as my Comet is far far from perfect. When i get around to it i'm going to drill out the taillight panel add some taillights, corner pieces and a bumper and hang the whole thing up on the wall in my garage. I want to even hook up the lights too. When i can get a picture in the daylight (on the weekend as it is dark when i get home) i'll post it for all to see of this rear end piece. Once again , thanks Larry for the gift of Comet, very cool!!!!!!!:D(y)

I stole this picture off the other board from one of Larry's posts. This is the rear when it was still on the Comet that he picked up with another 2-door Comet that he is restoring.

Yeah i know it took me a month to post a picture (if anyone cares) but here is Larry Winter's gift of Comet that he dropped off at my house one day so i can do some repairs on my Comet. Hey at least i'm only gonna use part of a Comet and not a scrap a whole car.

    Thanks Larry.

Oh if it was up to me i would have one as a grill or a Bar-B-Q, one as a couch, one hanging from my garage wall with working lights and one as an outdoor bench in the back yard. Problem, my wife does not have the love of Mavericks and Comet like i do or having old car parts hanging around. Go figure.
