nothing special about the VIN, no special interior or trim codes, nothing! you just gotta know it's one, or have a Marti Report.

I want one as well, just not a red one. too common for my taste :)

I know where there is a "virtually" rust free one that could be bought...but it's not gonna be real cheap.

Been thinking about letting it go to help finance a shop. :)

I'll chime in here as well, giving a parallel as an example. I have collected pinball machines for the last ten years, have restored many, and have many to restore. I have owned less popular "junk" machines, several popular titles, and one very rare example.

One is a 1981 Gottlieb "Black Hole", I spent 60 hours touching up the playfield by hand, and then clearcoating it with 9 layers of clearcoat. I also repainted the cabinet by hand (airbrush), another 30 hours. The game had the word "junk" written on on it when I bought it. It looks like new ten years later. They made several thousand of these, it's collectible but in no way worth a mint. Did I waste my time?

On the other hand, I have what is probably a "crown jewel" of a game, a 1977 Charlie's Angels (seriously) electromechanical pinball, one of 300 estimated to be made. Three are known to exist today. It sits untouched in my home, not yet restored, S/N 1001. I had a guy bug me to buy it for almost ten years until he found one. Am I foolish to let it sit? Was I stupid to not sell it?

I also have a 1964 electromechanical game that I started restoration on, got into it, and left it sit. It has moderate value, and is somewhat collectable. It's value is probably lower than the two above. Should I never have started?

NOW, from this perspective, am I a "bad man" for concentrating my efforts on the less popular/valuable game before the "crown jewel"? Am I a "bad man" for starting a restoration on another game and letting it set for almost ten years to concentrate on others? Am I a fool for not selling the "crown jewel" to the persistent guy who probably would have paid me 50 times what I paid?

Gimme a break, to each his own. The kid found it, it's his to do what he pleases with, everyone has an opinion but it don't mean much. I wish him success, and hope he gets it done.

I'm spending a lot of money restoring a Pinto. 'Nuff said.

    Chris

Everyone of my projects have been a dream through out the years and very few come through for me or true either before the next one starts, for one reason or another, money, kids, wife or ex:bananamanas I get older the projects get farther and few between, but at present I collect vintage motorcycles and have 5 complete gt750s and 4 parts bikes, lots, lots parts and lost interest other than selling them and making money for Mavericks or comets, the year before last it was golf carts:rofl2:I am glad alot of you guys are young, please dont argue like old farts:naughty: unless you want to end up like us(just do it nice) my son has been driving since 16 and is going to be 22 He has had several cars none that I gave him, because he fails to get a job, diploma or even a drivers lisence and wore his welcome out here when he was 18 . He learned all the wrenchen and I am hoping for this car I have now to give him insentive.:thumbs2:

Marti report is a very good thing! It tell you what you really have in your hands. My father got his Marti report for his Stallion and just to see "Stallion Group" make you more happier :D

Nothing tells you if it's a Stallion. Marti Report is the only way to go or if the seller has the original bill of sale like the one my father and I checked this fall... ;)

Hey!!! You were supposed to give it to me!!

BTW, the registry is still open for new entry :D

You have to fill the form. When you will click on "send", it is supposed to open your outlook express (or any other email program you have installed) and you will be able so send me the form. I dont have any PHP skill so i could make the form completly indepedant (i'm working on it).

You can also mail me all the info without using the form. My email is at the end of the registry form. :thumbs2:

I mailed you the money couple months ago!!! :)

Good Luck with the build! I think everyone has had projects that don't get finished. Some are cars some are not. Most of the time it is just the time spent doing something you enjoy and the stress relief it gives you that is the real benefit. Not the finished products value. It is a Stallion and I am sure he could sell it to someone on here if need be. Just my 2 cents.
