anyone ever used datsun wheels before? They are 4x4.5" bolt pattern - i think that's the same as stock mav. If they work this might be a good site http://www.zparts.com/ads/wheels/wheels_fs.html if they don't then nevermind lol.
yea. I was thinking about getting one of the sets. Is offset the same as backspacing? any other quirks as far as sizing goes that I should ask them when I call that you can think of?
so not to get too far off topic, but did you lower your car at all? mine is riding about the same height as the one in the pic with spring clamps on it. Debating my options, thinking maybe cutting.
no no engine in it at that time did you tighten your control arms with them hanging? if so try loosing all you control arm bolts maybe that will drop it down? brad
whoa.. loosen my upper control arm bolts? I have them torqued to manufacturer spec. The problem I have is that advanced auto has springs for a mav with AC that are 1.3 inches longer than the springs for no AC... now I gotta figure out how to drop it. thinking cutting would be easy (351 would be fun haha). I'll figure it out. Thnx for the reply.
Your springs came with 1414 pounds load rate at 15-7/8" free height with 8-3/4 coils... You AZ springs should be 1470 pounds load rate at 16-1/8" free height with 9-1/8 coils. The free height has nothing to do with ride height. You should toque the suspension when the car is sitting on the ground...not while on jack stands. Do not use a torch to cut coils...the heat will destroy them. Use a hack saw or go slow with a cutting wheel to keep the heat down
