I have a 72 Grabber... I just found out i DONT have a vented cap.... Could that cause the car once warmed up like ..... Driving at a steady 55MPH feel like its holding back??? maybe because theres no air vent???

Depends if you plugged off the vapor line to the canister under the hood. Is the charcoal canister still in place?

Entirely possible if you're pulling a vacuum on the tank. Next time you get below a half tank, try running it w/o the cap and see if it's different...

    Yeah its still there...

as far as running the tank below 1/2 i guess i can do that. I normally dont let it get below 3/4, dont wanna get moisture up in there and rot this tank. Well i have an NOS 1972 Deluxe Maverick Vented Cap i came across and im gunna put it on the car and see how it does...

    Chaz.
