I don't know of any Golden Corral's in Gainesville. Closest one I can think of is off I-985 at the Buford Dr. exit. If we're talking breakfast, Mrs. Winners or Chick-fil-a is fine with me.

There is a Ryan's in Gainesville ... almost same as Golden Corral. If you are going to be here for weekend you should head over to Canton, GA for the PoBoy's Cruise in ... last one of the season. Expect 600 or 700 cars .... Riverstone Pkwy, Canton, GA ... Saturday ... I'll be there with my Grabber.

Had a very smooth trip. I pulled the engineless red '72 Comet on the dolly and 1973Maverick357 and his dad pulled the very rusty V8 '73 Comet GT on their trailer. Only issue we had was right as we were getting back on I-985 South after stopping off in Buford for lunch at Golden Corral. There was a van going really slow for some reason in the right lane, so I jumped into the left lane to go around him. As I did I felt something shift around, and as I looked in the mirror I see them flashing their lights behind me. Got off on the shoulder ASAP and turns out one of the straps on the dolly somehow slipped off the wheel. :yikes: Got it strapped back down extra tight and didn't have anymore problems the rest of the trip. The old Chevy truck did pretty good, have put a little over 500 miles on it so far this weekend and it's running great. Just got off the road about a half hour ago, stopped in at my grandparent's house in Murphy, NC for the night, heading on to Greenville, SC tomorrow. I had a great time, it was great meeting everyone and checking out all the Mavericks and Comets!

The funny thing is this comet gt is rough as can be but it has a 302 that hasnt ran in a while we started it right up when we got it home.

Looks like Explorer or Ranger wheels on the red one, and Granada wheels on the front of the blue one. Take the good parts off the blue one and put on the red to make a good car, scrap/sell what's left to pay part of the original purchase price.

Holy Crap Batman!! That blue one is rotten!! Almost not worth buying....sure would have been a sweet car when it was new, before 1/2 of it returned to the earth.

It is VERY rotten, but he could easily get his money back out of it and then some if he wanted. It's a 302/floor shift auto, bucket seat car with everything there except one of the seats, and it seems to run pretty good to boot..

I believe they are '99-'04 V6 Mustang wheels on the red one. The fronts rub the upper control arms on the inside, and the rears work fine but just look goofy because they are so far up up under the car.
