I've got 215/60/15 on 8" wheels on front of mine. Lowered, and they don't scrub or rub anywhere....

The 255's are a nice look. I'm happy with the look of mine and they ride great. They dont stick but street tires usually dont. I still cant get my foot to the boards in first gear even on a roll and it breaks loose shifting into second pretty bad. Dropping the air pressure didnt seem to make much difference in traction. Sticky's for me next year.(y) Also on the 7inch rim the tread does bulge a bit at 30psi. Would wear the center for sure. Mine are not bad for contact at 24psi. Next year they get replaced with 8 inch.

big problem, I was driving back after getting them installed today and there is rubbing over dips and bumps. What's worse is that the edge of the tire is getting shredded pretty bad by the metal rim. It looks like a few more bumps and I'll destroy the tires.

Do you have new leaf springs in back??? May want to consider doing so,or adding a leaf to the current spring pack to get the body up off the tires.

Are they hitting the wheel well lip?? 255's shouldnt be a problem. I have lots of room. Must be a back spacing issue.

I have leaf springs and don't really know how to add a leaf onto the current stack, hard to do? I think if I could get the back up a little I'll be ok, not really the look I'm going for but I'm also not ready to change my fenders.

Thats a shame. The rims look good, but I hate when that happens. I have the same size on a 15x7 which pulls the sidewalls in a little more. approved rim size for that tire is 7" to 9". I have a granada 9" rear which is wider than your rear too. I may be a little higher than you too. Never ever, EVER rubs. If you like the stance of your car, and you are rubbing despite having the correct backspace, switching out the rims for a set of 7"s with the same backspace would give you a full inch more room by the outside edge of the tire.
Good luck getting it straightened out.

Uhhh, no. And no air shocks either. If you want to lift it, you have to do it with the springs, You may be able to get away with the same height but a stiffer rate too.
