I implemented a new auto suggest feature when performing a forum search. When you start typing something in the search box, popular threads will be automatically suggested. You can then scroll down and select one of the threads or continue entering what you were searching for. Let me know how you guys like it.

    Hey Stef,

Are the results sorted by date correctly (most recent being the preferred)?

Hoping to see my recent For Sale ad titled "1974 Maverick", I typed in "1974 Maverick" and was treated to only older posts dated 2004-05-09 and 2004-04-17. My ad did not show up at all in the quick display.

I used each search field, "Show Threads" and "Show Posts".

I like the idea though. Thx.

In the actual search, your thread came up. If you select the auto suggested "1974 Maverick" threads, they bring you to the older threads....

Ill try to tweak the auto suggest some more.

I changed the auto suggest to show the most recent popular threads first.

    I like it.
On another note. What I notice when I click the "quick links", I scroll my pointer down and the quick link box disapears when I cross over stuff. There is a green line that says "networking" in the ql drop down box.

I also see the green underlined words in the comments. Not shure how to clean.

What happens when you place your mouse cursor over the underlined word? Can you click on it? Is there a link or a popup? Im 99.99% positive that the underline is being generated by some sort of program running on your computer and I would not be surprised that its spyware. Do you have an up to date virus scanner running on your computer?

Still the same, Stef (older threads appear in auto-complete). The two titles shown on the screen shot below are the ones from 2004. (ref: XP and Firefox)
