Is anyone coming to the "Street Machine Nationals" in Little Rock? It sounds pretty cool. They say there will be 1700 Street Machines there. I think I will have to check it out. When it was in Springfield, MO, it was an awesome show. If the people that have been going there go to Little Rock, you will love it.
A friend of mine just called me from the fairgrounds. He was standing at Mike's 71 Grabber. Having attended 18 of the 20 that were held in Springfield, MO, he is greatly dissapointed. As of 12:30 he estimated there was 300 cars. It is the first year though. Matt as a previous participant at Springfield did you get a postcard for the Little Rock event? On the back of the post card, 2nd picture from the right is a shot of John Chandlers car.
I have run in to one board memeber so far (MaverickDan) from Greenbrier. It was great to see someone from the board. I think attendance is down due to the weather. The forecast was for rain & thunderstorms all 3 days. We have been really lucky so far. It has still be a blast.
Yeah I did get it Allan. I was going to post something about it, but I can't remember if I did or not.
Your friend Scott came by today & said hi for you. It was great talking to him. We were standing under an awning trying to stay dry. Today was a complete washout. Pretty much the only thing we had today was the awards ceremony. I managed to win a plaque in the "Awards of Excellence" class. It was good to win something being the 1st car show I've entered. It was a great time in spite of the weather.
Scott called me on his way home and said you talked for a while. He said it started raining last night and didn't stop. Congrats on the award! BTW if you think that was a blast you need to attend a Gathering or Roundup. You won't want the weekend to end.
Pics I was going to post pics that I took at this event but they made videos of alot of it wish makes it much easier to view. Turn your sound on & enjoy. It is listed as part 1, 2 & 3. See link: http://www.carshownation.com/video/2009-street-machine-nationals
