http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/pts/1355018415.html Is this a good price for this? Or are theyre questions i should be asking him. Is a c4 good for a mav? or should i get somethin else? Im kinda new to the whole rebuilding bit but i want to give it a shot and learn as much as i can. I am not a total noob at mechanics lol i do have a pretty good amount of knowledge. And want to increase by rebuilding an engine whether i use it or not. Im a hands on guy and love to learn so figured this might be a good oppertunity. Anyways hope to hear from you guys soon! Thanks
that knocking he mentioned scares me.. not for 300... i wouldnt take the guys word for it... look for a better deal.... hope this helps
offer him 150 and have fun with it... btw check out this 351 http://tallahassee.craigslist.org/pts/1348595830.html
If you can get him to accept $200 and je will let you look at the main and rod bearing before you buy it then go for it. $300 for a knocking engine? no, probably not a good deal. Even "rebuilt" the C4 is a core transmission because you have no wat of knowing what was done. Cores sell for $50 around here.
the nock would scare me away from buying it... just remember theres always gonna be another awesome deal out there
matterick hey dude long time no talk how are ya? and yea i decided im gonna keep lookin for another deal on a 302 know of any place i can get those braces that is needed for the swap?
thats awesome bro i cant wait to hook mine up with one as well. whats your mpg with it lol? and whats your tire size? cause that obviously affects it
yeah big difference in power! as for mileage i havn't calculated it out yet but its not very high lol...and my tires are 225/60
o gotcha is it a significant difference though from the i6? Or a minor difference where you really havent noticed? cause thats my only concern lol getting the 302 and filling up every other day
i can feel a difference and can hear a huge difference! and if i keep my foot out of it i get pretty good mileage
auto tranny. im gonna get it rebuilt soon and after the rebuild im gonna convert to an auto on the floor since it looks cooler and its not very expensive
