NAMCC Mega Ford Weekend Meet

Well folks, to all that want to take part in the first get together of the ( NAMCC )North American Maverick Comet Club please send a post to show your interest in comming. This event will be held in Canada just a 15 min drive from the Sumas Washington U.S Border . The meet will be held at Mission Raceway on September 12 and 13 . I will be making arrangements for 6 camping spots in the track pits along the fraser river in the shade for the comfort of all,this is a full facility track including hot showers . Anyone thats wishes to join this group for now will have to go to facebook and join the North Amercan Maverick Comet Club.If you go to SEARCH on this forum and type in Mega Ford weekend, you can see pics of last years event . My car works now. Its day 3 now. I driving. I guess this means I can go.

 

This is coming up fast! Who is in? Who needs help? I would be awesome to have 10+plus cars show! Race or show...its up to you! If you want to race..and have never done it..we can help! Last year we had 4 cars...I know we can do better!

 

My wife & I got our Enhanced Drivers License (EDL) yesterday. We now have a temp. The EDL will arrive in the mail within the next 14 days. So, it looks like we'll be there. Can't wait to meet new friends & see old friends. :Handshake I'll be racing in the street legal class. I'll need all the help I can get, to get her dialed in. Are you arriving Friday night or Saturday morning? How about it, Jimmy? Will the camping spaces be ready Friday night? Or do we wait until Saturday morning? I'd prefer Friday night. But, can wait if I have to...

 

I will be arriving Friday night...we could meet up with you someplace to drive to Mission! Hoping to catch the 12:45 ferry so we should be on the Mainland by about 2:45. Could meet someplace around 3-3:30 and grab a bite! Is that to early?

 

Yep! A little early. Don't get off work until 3pm. I'll cross the border near Mission Raceway. That way I only have to drive 15 minutes, to get to the track. Jimmy said he would meet me at the border, & caravan to the track. Maybe you could get together with Jimmy & both of you, can meet me at the border, for the caravan to the track.

 

Lets see now. 2,851 miles one way and 1 week vacation left for 2009.

As much as I would like to be there, it's cutting it a little tight.

My wife & I are legal as of today. Got our actual EDL in the mail. Applied for it last Saturday, got it today. Not to bad. Sooner than I thought. We're so excited about Mission next month.

 

I would really love to attend this meet, but alas it is not in the works this year but I will schedule it for next year for sure

I hope you have a good turn out and your cars run straight and fast and are polished to perfection.

Oh yeah... I *HAVE* to go... I've missed everything ELSE this year...

I'm pickin up a vid camera tomorrow so hope I can catch some ACTION at the Mega Weekend.

Look forward to seeing everyone!... I'd hoped to bring the brown/green V-8 Comet but it's light years from being roadworthy... much less track worthy. At least I still have it to play with on weekends.

Friday night festivities as well?... I thought it was just Sat and Sun...

Well folks ,im excited to say that this first meeting of the NAMCC at the Mega Ford Weekend Sept 12-13 is turning out to be a good 1st event . If the wether is good there should be 10 to 12 canadian cars and two America cars show up for the meet ,for a total of 12-14 cars. cheers
