Installing rear window trim

    Got my headliner in everything went smooth but, then frustration set in stupid clips holding trim in around rear window fought me more then the headliner itself stupid well im done for the night no use going any farther Im so pissed of at the car now I just want to take it out and dump the clutch :burnout: but Id probably bust my ass falling of the milk crate and wreck the car so Ill just walk away thanks for letting me vent though:(

    You need to make sure you have the correct clips. Some of the replacement clips are too short and you have to push way too hard to get the molding to fasten in...sometimes denting the molding. I've had that problem. Fortunately I had some extra moldings. After getting the correct clips, I was pretty much able to push the molding down by hand and clip it on...without the rubber hammer.

    Where did you get the correct clips? My front and rear glass is out and I'll face this some day.

    It's been 4 years since I put my back glass in. I can't remember if I got the correct clips from A/K or a local glass shop. It will be real helpful if you have an old clip to compare with. Some of the clips look very similar but are slightly shorter. If the molding doesn't clip on easily, don't try to force it.

    The AK clips are junk. I feel for ya. Been there. I posted some pics in this thread. Ended up wrapping each clip with fishing line. Pull the clip open slightly and snap in the trim. Then just cut off the fishing line and pull it out.
