We'd been working on the Vette for a while, put a new wiper motor in it, and killed the battery in the process by repeatedly turning the wipers on.

Eh, it's an '01... But there's no excuse for the wiper motor to die the way it did. There are these terribly designed drain tubes under it, "udders" they are called - I'm not kidding - and they get clogged up with debris until they can't drain any more water. At that point, your wiper motor gets submerged. We had to clean those out. They were full of black fermented leaves, rotten sticks, snail shells and other assorted goodness.

    Car is still awesome though.

This one might actually give you a good run. LS2 already rated at 400 from the factory, then added a bigger cam, huge headers and a dyno tune. Not sure what it's pushing now, but unlike the typical Vette owner, I have to give him credit for actually using it.

And after all that investment, it might even turn as many heads as a 38 year old Maverick!

I'm not saying his car is faster or slower than anybody else's and I couldn't care less either way. I just thought it was a funny pic.

Tell the corvette guy this "There you know those cruddy ford cars called mavericks well one wants to race you" He will want to race and hopefully M.A.V would win... The corvette defiantly has a lead from the factory but i know nothing about how much horses M.A.V is pushing either.

No... No I won't... I'm not getting into one of those chest-beating "my buddy's car can whup up on your buddy's car" type conversations, and like I said I really don't care if his car is faster than a bicycle, I just thought this was a funny pic.

Of course there are Mavericks on this site that can outrun a Z06 and MAV's is probably one of them. There.

So why would you volunteer him to race that guy?
