well i figured out the problem with my pullys summit sold me the wrong pump even after talking to a tech there. got one for a 1981 thunderbird and they are standard rotation. every thing fits perfect.now i have both serpintine and v-belt pullys that will work.here are pics.

no frank he is a cooling and heating guru j/k really i talked to one of there techs over the phone and told him what i was doing and he sent me the wrong pump. only problem i have ever had with summit.maybe i should just start going to there store here in ohio.but then i would just start spending way to much money.

Not wanting to start anything: but Summit doesn't have..."Techs"...they have the same...Saleperson...that worked at Advance/auto Zone/Pep Boys...last week. when you call the 1-800 # you get an operator that can look up your part...again, based on the info. you give them, they are giving you their 17-30 year old opinion...:yup:
i go into their store (often) so i see the turnover of thier sales people. so you are getting someones guess as to what you want if you don't Know or don't have "their" part #s for what you want.
I have my...go-to-guy...Jonthan Miller...770-288-3200 ext.4554...He has been there from the day the store opened.:)hmmm:...so have I) He is a Ford guy and if he doesn't know for sure, he will call one of his friends that might know...
...it's the kid behind the counter that thinks he knows more about what you want than you do that's dangerous...:yup: We had one like that in the Ga. store, his name was...Josh Kidd...everytime he told me something i would ask if he was...Joshing or Kidding me.:rofl2:
why do you think Jeff always meets me at Summit and brings his camara...it's an adventure for me to shop there...:D

    ...:chirp:...

Can this post, or the Jonathan Miller info, be added to the Summit Racing Vendor Link?

frank i was just going by the phone number in my catalog it says tech line.it also says for questions about parts installation and application.i have never called there store here in tallemage ohio.but if thats the case ,lesson learnd.im
not trying to slam summit i like buying from them i was simply just saying they sent me the wrong pump and im sure they will make it right.also they were the ones that suggested that it was the right pump. possibly got put in the wrong box at the factory.
