:idea: As i continue my I6 to V8 351W swap I am now ready to "Cut the shock towers" to fit for header clearance. My initial attempt is to use the mustang shorty headers but they seem kinda fat for the space given. Any advice on this phase of the project will be appreciated.

My advice would be to use the search function and search for 351w or 351 headers .
You should find pictures and descriptions of everything you want to know.

Cutting the towers gains clearance to fit your hands in so you can work on it better, but DOES NOT gain actual header tube clearance.

no mustang shorties will fit the maverick way to thick will also hit the steering box even if you cut the towers. now if you did a full rack that would be a differant story.
