oh and Craig, thi one originally came from ur neck of the woods..... in some place called Fortville, IN
and among finding lots nothing in the car, i found the original build sheet (unreadable of course), factory tags for the carpet, and another partial build sheet from the St. Thomas assembly plant
That's funny, my grandpa and a bunch of his buddies used to go out to Fortville and ride dirt bikes back in the late 60's and early 70's. We have tons of old projector films of them having hill climbs and stuff there.
There was an article in the recent Mustang Monthly issue about buildsheet restoration. Use PPG's DX440 Wax and Grease Remover. Pour enough into a plastic container to fully submerge the buildsheet. After 10 minutes, remove and it should be good as new. You may have to repeat with fresh DX400. Jim
Too funny. Those doors are salvageable up here. We see cars like that driving around.(rotten) Every year I get one or two cars that cant even survive the lift on the hoist. Good scoop.
just got back in from taking out the package tray and heater box. well, i gots some bad news..... the cowls look PERFECT! and i mean perfect, no surface rust or anything so i think this one is a keeper. my intentions are to part out my '70 Grabber for this or sell them together for someone to build
