Freedom Fair Tacoma, Washington

Three weeks ago. Just for the fun of it. I filled out a registration on line, for the Show & Shine. It said they only take 50 cars. They'll contact those people that are selected. They'll never pick my car. I didn't tell my wife I did it. Cause I figured I'd never get selected. But, what the hey! Nothing to loose.
I got an email this morning, telling me: "This email confirms your entry", for the show & shine. It's on Saturday July 4th, 2009. Talk about last minute. It's right down on the water front, in Tacoma. I've never been to the Freedom Fair. I'm told they have an air show (McCord Air Force base). Fireworks & a whole lot more. I've included the link so you can check it out. If you click on the left upper box, it will drop down to the show & shine. You can click on that link to see what it's all about. So, we'll have a Comet there this year. WooHoo!! Won't know if a Maverick got in, until I get there Saturday morning. Did anyone else on here submit an entry?

Looks like fun. I was in the reserves at McChord for 8 years.

 

Take lots of pictures and post 'em.

 

Took a few pictures. Mostly of the air show. Had a wonderful day....
I was 25 feet from the beer garden.... How nice was that? Plus the blues stage, with live bands was playing all day....

89 degrees and close to the beer gardens, sounds like a match made in heaven.

I also talked with a guy that was going crazy over the Comet. Seems he had one when he was 18 years old. Bought in new from a dealer, in Houston, Texas. He said it was a 72 Comet Bearcat. He said he would scan pictures & email them to me. We'll see....
